Answers about permissions, prayer data, Period Mode, and your Salaha Plus subscription — everything here reflects how the app actually works, on your device.
Everywhere except Apple's on-request geocoding, Salaha keeps everything on your iPhone. Prayer records, devotional counts, calculation settings, and blocking selections never leave the device — there's no Codethenic server for them to travel to.
Deleting the app deletes this data permanently, aside from anything captured in your own encrypted device backup.
Location is used only to calculate accurate prayer times, the Qibla direction, and your time zone. The calculation itself happens on-device — the only thing sent anywhere is a coordinate or typed city name to Apple's geocoding service, purely to resolve a place name.
If you'd rather not share it, decline the permission. Salaha defaults to Makkah and lets you search for a city manually instead.
When you turn it on, Salaha pauses streak penalties, reminders, and app blocking for the dates you set. That on/off status and its dates are stored on-device only, used for nothing else, and never transmitted anywhere.
No. Blocking is handled entirely by Apple's Screen Time framework and a local system extension talking to your device only. Salaha receives no usage history, duration, or activity data back from iOS — it can enforce the schedule you set, but it can't watch how you use your phone.
Very little, and none of it identifies you. Salaha has no login, so there's no profile to attach data to. We only see anonymous counts: whether the app was opened and onboarding completed, and how the subscription screen performed (shown, dismissed, purchased, restored).
Your name, location, prayer records, and onboarding answers are never included. Using the app offline stops these events from sending at all.
Only what's needed to unlock the features you paid for: your transaction confirmation and subscription status, shared with the Apple App Store and our subscription provider, RevenueCat, strictly for receipt verification.
None of your location, prayer, onboarding, or health-related data is ever part of that exchange.
Use the in-app reset or clear option where available, or simply delete the app — since nothing is mirrored on a server, this removes everything stored locally. For help with onboarding answers specifically, you can also write to us and we'll walk you through it.
